We are seeking a self-sufficient Product Owner to join our SAP Order Management team within the Commercial Global Customer Success Operations group. You will be responsible for understanding internal Commercial business needs, defining product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the SAP Order Management experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their career in product management within the realm of enterprise software solutions.

What will you do?

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Commercial users (Sales, Customer Care, Service), GIS business analysts, and development teams, to gather and analyze requirements related to SAP Order Management functionalities.
  • Product Roadmap Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of the product roadmap for SAP Order Management by identifying revenue-driving activities, areas of operational efficiency, and customer feedback to prioritize features and enhancements.
  • Agile Framework: Possesses a strong understanding of the roles within a Scrum team. Function as an agile Product Owner working with internal development teams and developing a backlog
  • SAP Understanding: Possess an understanding of SAP technology, technical constraints, and general Order to fulfill workflows within an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Trade-Off: Collaborate closely with the Scrum team to ensure the technical feasibility of the product. Able to evaluate “Trade-Offs” to ensure developers can remain focused during Sprints and communicate plans to stakeholders to manage expectations, while still fulfilling business needs.
  • Acceptance Criteria: clearly define and develop product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer needs, industry best practices, and technical feasibility.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, UX/UI, and support teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of product enhancements and releases.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training materials, to facilitate effective product adoption and usage.
  • Training and Demos: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to internal teams, SMEs, and stakeholders to showcase new features and gather feedback to incorporate into future sprints
  • Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with Compliance teams to ensure that delivered solutions meet quality standards and address customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the product development lifecycle.
  • Global Collaboration: Participate in daily Scrum meetings and some after-hours collaboration with Global team members and off-shore development teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of ERP product owner/product management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Science)
  • Strong understanding of SAP or comparable ERP platform
  • Strong understanding of Quote to Cash workflows, Sales roles, Customer Care roles, and Service roles along with direct and indirect sales or renewals
  • Strong prioritization skills and discipline to focus on high-impact activities
  • Experience gathering and capturing business pain points and evaluating current state workflows to identify a Global solution and translate it into acceptance criteria.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum framework and methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan both short-term and long-term larger-scale changes that require longer lead times to refine requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • CSPO (Scrum Alliance) or PSPO (scrum.org) certifications are desirable.
