About the job

We’re looking for a motivated Microsoft 365 Support Trainee/Engineer to join our team. This is an entry-level role designed for candidates with up to 1 year of experience in IT Support or Microsoft environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of Microsoft 365, and at the same time gain valuable hands-on experience in IT administration and support.

What will you do?

  • Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, EntraID, etc)
  • Active Directory administration.
  • Manage user access, licenses, permissions, and security configurations to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide status updates and closure notes to end users.
  • Monitor health and performance using Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell.
  • Provide Tier 1 Support for Microsoft 365 issues and service requests.
  • Alert the IT team when outages affect the tenant.
  • Act as a liaison between end users, vendors, and internal teams as needed.
  • Engage regularly with client stakeholders.
  • Assist with routine maintenance in hybrid and cloud-based Microsoft environments.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and internal teams to learn best practices.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • General understanding of Microsoft 365 tools and IT concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation, energy, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical client stakeholders
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation, if required in the future. 
  • Internship or hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Microsoft 365 administrator certifications.
  • Experience in a managed services or client-facing support environment
  • Familiarity with hybrid Microsoft environments and directory sync
  • Must be located in Tijuana, BC
