About the job

The Tableau Developer is an active thought partner who contributes to shaping the technology demand among the Exact Sciences business community. Collaborating with various business units, the Tableau Developer will create dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools for use across the organization. This includes aiding various teams in drawing insight from data by researching, compiling, and analyzing data and preparing various reports for distribution. 


What will you do?

  • Generate and manage Tableau dashboards and reporting.
  • Create, track, and report on key performance metrics.
  • Work with large and/or disparate datasets to identify key trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Effectively compile and communicate findings to leadership or stakeholders verbally, visually, and in writing.
  • Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction of reporting tools.
  • Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands. 
  • Maintains documentation of changes and improved procedures.
  • Proactively provides process improvement recommendations within a quickly evolving company. 
  • Proactively resolves customer satisfaction issues related to reporting & analytics.
  • Provide leadership assistance to other analysts by modeling best practices and approaches and serving as a coach to more junior colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills, prioritization skills, business intuition, and organizational ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment, and build consensus across functions.
  • Adaptable, open to change, able to work in ambiguous situations, and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work a designated schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 
  • 5 years of relevant experience working with Tableau
  • Strong experience with Tableau dashboard development (Tableau desktop)
  • Strong experience with tables using SQL
