The Sr Data Quality will serve as a critical resource in the Global Information Systems (GIS), Information Governance and Quality team for projects implementation and operational support of data quality program. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data across multiple systems within the organization. This role involves leveraging Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) to design, implement, and maintain data quality processes and frameworks, as well as working with Informatica's Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Axon Data Governance solutions. The specialist will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and data governance teams to maintain high standards of data quality in an environment supported by various data sources. This role will help in making sure our data is used appropriately and reliably.


What will you do?

  • Proven experience and having strong understand of data governance and data quality discipline to lead and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional team members in the implementation of projects and enhancements from requirements gathering through deployment, user acceptance testing, and post-production support including documentation as it relates to the creation and maintenance of data quality rules.  
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with GIS and business teams to address all data quality and data governance needs by domains and their specifications. 
  • Analyze functional requirements and suggest solutions to technical execution teams.
  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics, trends, and issues. Create and maintain data quality dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Prepare objects for weekly migration to production (MTP). Proactive monitoring of Control M jobs and update if needed. Analyze resources and time of each process to run them in the appropriate order/time.  
  • Assess change impacts prior to change deployment. Analyze problems, diagnose them, and find root cause, and then either create a fix or partner with a team to collaboratively design a solution. 
  • Document best practice, user guides. Develop enhancements metadata integration between EDC (data catalog), Axon (data governance), and other applications JIRA, Confluence.
  • Develop data quality rules, data domain’s rule, mapping and mapplets. Rebuild mappings, apply best practices on all mapplet rules. 
  • Support system administrator in the upgrade/patching activities of IDQ. User provisioning and security. 
  • Work or support several automation capabilities related to IDQ and DG.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in Information governance, data quality, data migration, data preparation, or data architecture in Informatica Platform EDC, Axon, IDQ, IDMC and other governance platform environments.   
  • Prior experience in all stages of the system development lifecycle from inception to postproduction. Installation, configuration, and administration of the Informatica Platform. Understanding of platform components, such as Informatica Data Quality, Metadata Manager, and others.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) where Informatica repositories are stored. Knowledge of operating systems (e.g, Linux, Windows) on Informatica products installed. 
  • Experience with metadata management concepts, setting up metadata scanners to extract metadata from various sources. 
  • Understanding data quality principles and practices. Configuration of Informatica Data Quality for effective quality program. Integration of Informatica Quality with other tools (EDC, Axon) in data ecosystem for seamless Data Governance.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and solve process and technical problems. 
  • Ability to address problems logically, carefully, and methodically. Persistence to pursue problems until they are solved. Ability to create and execute test plans and documentation. 
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environment, and manage multiple competing priorities and business partners.
  • Experience with Big Data solution architecture from a user perspective, and capable of supporting users that work in a Big Data environment.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Advanced analytics.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate technical issues and solutions to business partners, verbally and written across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with change control in an FDA regulated environment.
