About the job

The Environments and Security Application Analyst is responsible for the team's technical system environments to support the quality assurance, development, testing, training, and production releases for the team's application. This includes oversight of the the team's Change Management SoPs and adherence and administration of the technical and operational requirements. As an Environments and Security Application Analyst, you will work on build migration, documentation, and communication regarding these changes. As a primary support contact for environments and change management, you will run change management meetings and verify that dependencies have been calculated and addressed before migrating content.  You will organize content management conversations, establish timelines, and coordinate communication with internal teams. You will assist in triaging unassigned user access tickets in Service Now and be a security resource on projects.

What will you do?

  • Identifying and implementing requested changes to the system
  • Guide workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues
  • Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and the software vendor’s implementation staff
  • Maintaining regular communication with the vendor, including participating in weekly project team meetings
  • Working with vendor representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline
  • Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows
  • Participating in training and working with end users
  • Troubleshooting problems and questions
  • Provide end-user support for issues entered in to issue tracking systems
  • Reviewing the status of projects and issues with project leadership
  • Ability to work normal work within business hours, as well as on call, with potential for nights and weekends
  • Holding regularly scheduled communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‐user concerns, and upcoming milestones
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Possession of or ability to obtain relevant software application(s) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs.
  • Able to work within a cross functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are done in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

  • Previous experience with security administration for an enterprise application
  • Relevant Coursework/Certifications: Courses or certifications in healthcare IT, medical terminology, healthcare billing and coding, or health informatics.
  • Internships or Prior Work in Healthcare IT: Any previous internships or work in healthcare IT, particularly in roles related to the team or revenue cycle management, is beneficial.
  • Understanding of basic network security, data security, user authentication, and access control principles.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and password management.
  • User Access Tools: Experience with Active Directory, LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), or similar directory services for managing user authentication.
  • Scripting/Automation: Basic knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automating user management tasks or auditing.
  • Knowledge of how to use audit logs and security reports to monitor for unusual activities, unauthorized access, or potential security violations.
