About the job

We are seeking for an IT Manager to lead a team of Business Analysts and Test Analysts within an Enterprise Applications team responsible for delivering projects. Must be a natural leader with hands-on experience of managing dedicated Analyst and Test teams in a multi-national / multi-application setting.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of end-to-end SDLC processes, ideally with experience in at least two of the following functions: Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, or Customer Service.Must be a self-starter with proven 5+ years IT management experience. The role will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, and be responsible for a team of around 10 staff plus varying numbers of consultants.

What will you do?

  • US & EMEA Process Owner of the Business Analysis models, ensuring alignment with Global processes. Spans intake, discovery, requirements capture/validation, design approval, UAT support, training support, organizational change management hypercare, and production support
  • US & EMEA Process Owner of the Test Management models, ensuring alignment with Global processes
  • Spans Test Planning, multiple test phase execution (integration/UAT/load/regression/smoke)
  • Direct and provide pastoral care for Lead Business Analyst and BA team, and Lead Test Analyst and Test team
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architects, IT Managers and Project Manager to ensure resources are allocated per demands of projects and support activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and development leads in delivering projects via Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid methodologies
  • Owner of all Business Analysis and Testing tools/applications and related licensing costs
  • Continually improve all processes that involve business analysis and testing
  • Act as escalation point for IT Managers, Project Managers, and Business Leads for risk and issue management
  • Work with the IT Leadership team on annual budgeting cycles and strategic planning
  • Additional ad hoc duties as assigned, eg absence cover for Peer group within the management team
  • Coach and lead the Business Analysis and Testing team, determining the right approach for the team to take through the life of a project
  • Act as a recognized expert, continuously reflecting and challenging the team and creating an environment for success
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, establishing and meeting stakeholder objectives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant IT Management experience gained through hands-on leadership of both BA and Test teams
  • Significant experience with enterprise-level application development projects and working with multi-discipline, globally distributed teams
  • Strong strategic thinking skills; understands business needs and brings proactive solutions to the team
  • Experience of developing business analysis models with associated use of tools and templates
  • Experience of developing test management models with associated use of tools and templates
  • An understanding of Order-to-Cash business processes and supporting systems
  • Experience with Agile and Hybrid methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT Leadership role
  • 3+ years experience of being a Senior Business Analyst OR Senior Test resource

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise CRMs and ERP systems
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA or equivalent
  • Medical device and/or pharmaceutical experience ideal
